Marie E. Killam Marie E. Killam, 65, of Moncton passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Born in Anagance, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hattie (Stuart) Bustin. Marie was a retired teacher, having taught at Simonds High School, Saint John, Port Elgin Memorial School and retired from Harrison Trimble High School, Moncton in 1997, with 29 years service. During her career and in her retirement, she treasured the moments of meeting and greeting former students and staff members. She dearly loved her "Trimble Family" and the hours of love and laughter she shared with them. Marie was a member of Penobsquis Baptist Church, Harrison Trimble High School 45's Club, Harrison Trimble Retiree's Group and the New Brunswick Seniors Federation. She was an avid bridge player, member of two bridge marathons and a regular at several bridge luncheons, which are fundraisers for various causes. Marie's whole life was filled with music and during retirement, she turned her attention to her music. Her voice touched the hearts of so many as she spent so much time spreading the gospel and bringing hope and peace to a huge following. Marie will be sadly missed by her treasured, loving son-in-law, Shane Steeves; sister-in-law, Ruth (Killam) Lewis; brother-in-law, Stuart Killam (Gwen); nieces and nephews, Kim Northrup (Bruce), Krista Good (Jerry), Karla Butterfield (Michael), Kelly Lewis (Shelley), Kendra Douthwright (Gene), Evan Killam (Stephanie), Bradley Killam (BJ) and families. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband, Gordon Killam (1996); daughter, Lori Steeves (2007); brother, Stuart Bustin; in-laws, Robert and Jean (Wilson) Killam. Visitation, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, January 19, 2009, 11:00 am, Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Lewis Mountain Cemetery.
