47, Ontario/Formerly Sydney It is with saddened and heavy hearts that we the family of Gary Robert Rowe announce his passing on Nov. 16, 2008, at the Hamilton General Hospital, Hamilton, Ont. Born in Sydney, July 27, 1961, he was the son of Mrs. Catherine 'Kay' Rowe, Sydney, and the late Robert 'Bobby' Rowe. Besides his mother, Kay, he is also survived by his daughter, Ayla Louise, Smith Falls, Ont.; his sisters, Kathy (Ron) Wadden and Brenda Rowe, his brother, David (Cheryl) Rowe, all of Sydney; nieces and nephews, Robert and Stephen Wadden, Emily and Jessie Rowe, as well as a greatniece, Lauryn Wadden-Burke. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Homeless Shelter, PO Box 1292, Sydney, N.S., B1P 6X3.
