90, Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elemena Vaughn, 90, on Nov. 17, 2008. Elemena was an outstanding member of UNIA and an avid dart player. She belonged to St. Mary's Anglican Church and was also a member of the ladies auxiliary of UNIA. Elemena was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and cared for by her greatniece, Gina Headley. Elemena was predeceased by her parents and special cousin, Gerald (Vaughn) O'Neil and Sheila Headly. Visitation for the late Elemena Vaughn will take place Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at St. Mary's Anglican Church with Rev. Vernon Reed officiating. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
