Leona Thibodeau 1912 - 2009 Leona Thibodeau, 96, of Villa Providence, Shediac, NB and formerly of Champlain St., Dieppe, NB, passed away on Tuesday, February 10th 2009 at her residence. Born in Saint-Philippe, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Azelie (née: Caissie) Govang. She is survived by two daughters: Helen (Paul) Cormier of Moncton and Linda (Roger) Beers of Riverview; five sons: Francis (Rina) of Lakeville, Jack of Dieppe, Antoine (Shirley) of Shediac Rd., Leonard (Karen) of East Collette and Michel (Nicole) of Dieppe; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur in 1994; two sisters: Evangeline and Edna and also by two brothers: Henri and Aimée. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from the Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday, February 12th 2009 at 11 am.
