49, Sydney It is with heavy hearts and loving memories we announce the passing of Catherine Lynn Roach, on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed by her children, Derek (Isa) Roach, Glace Bay, Karen (Dave) Gillis, Sydney; her forever friend, Bill Roach, Sydney; her grandchildren, Derek Scott Roach, Cori Lynn, Mallory Brooke and Kevin John Gillis. She is also survived by her brother, Todd (Arlene) King, Catalone; mother and father-in-law, William and Shirley Roach, Sydney; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Betty (White) and Gerald King, she was predeceased by her grandparents. Cathy was a wonderful woman with a very kind, loving heart, she would do anything for anyone and everyone. She worked at the Journey's End (Comfort Inn) for 10 years, first as housekeeper and then on the front desk and loved every minute she worked there. She touched the hearts of everyone she knew, she will never be forgotten and she will forever live on within all of us. Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 23 at S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Every Women's Centre or the Transition House, Sydney.
