80, Antigonish/Sydney Catherine Theresa MacDonald, 80, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family at St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish, N.S. To some she was known as Kay, to her loving family she was always known as Theresa. Theresa was born in Sydney, N.S., Oct. 16, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Pike. Theresa spent her first 75 years in Sydney before moving to Antigonish in 2004. Theresa is survived by her loving husband Stephen of 55 years, as well as, sons Kenneth (Betty), Truro, Roderick (Helen), Fall River, Leonard, Inuvik, NWT; daughters Carolyn (Paul MacDonald), Inverness/Antigonish, Margaret (Bill Libbus), Lower Sackville; grandchildren Scott, Sean, Heather, Christopher, Kenzie, Stephen, Cameron, Murray and Erin and her brothers Frank (Carm) and Walter. Theresa was predeceased by her infant daughter Elizabeth. Visitation will take place in Sydney at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Anthony O'Connor officiating. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Reception to follow at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel reception room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart parish, Sydney, N.S., or St. Ninian's parish, Antigonish, N.S.
