Harold Alton Ward

Harold Alton Ward 1920 - 2009 Harold A. Ward passed away on Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born in St. Stephen, NB, on March 2nd, 1920, he was the son of the late Melvin and Lulu (Murray) Ward. Harold was a Veteran of the Second World War, having served as an aircraft mechanic. He retired from Lounsbury's Truck Division, Moncton as a mechanic. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially ice fishing on the Molus River and his passion was refurbishing antique cars. This passion led to Harold receiving a lifetime achievement award at the 2008 Atlantic Nationals. He is survived by special friend, Carole Lutes, sons; Ronnie (Paulette), Randy (Claudette), daughters; Heather (Dave), Bonnie all of Moncton and daughter in law Joanne Hearn, Edmonton, AB. Grandchildren Jason, Amanda, Natalie, Ryan, Trevor, Cody, Justin, Ashton and Alyssa. Great-Grandchildren Logan, Taylor, Emma and Kaylie. Brother in law Leon Olsen (Diane). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Hazel (Olsen) in 2001, and his children Bruce, David and Lou'ann. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, February 26th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service at Fair Haven Funeral Home Friday, February 27th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a memorial of the donors choice.
