Patrick Surette 1909-2009 Patrick Surette, 99, of Foyer Saint-Antoine and formerly of Cocagne has passed away peacefully at the residence on Saturday, February 28th, 2009. Married to the late Irène (Hébert) Surette (2005), he was born in Cocagne on April 4th, 1909 to the late Francois and the late Gerogina (Downing) Surette. He was a fisherman and carpenter. Patrick is survived by his six children, Jeannita Doughty (Cyril) of Kirkland, QC, Murielle Deveau (Clarence) of Dieppe, Claudette McNeil of Châteaugay, QC, Jacqueline Haynes, Pauline Surette, both of Cocagne and Normand (Gilberte) of Shediac Bridge; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Clorice (Lorraine) of Lakeburn; as well as several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one son, Eudore (2000); three sisters, Florence, Florida and Alice; and two brothers, Alcide and Léopold. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009 from 2-4pm and 79pm and on Wednesday from 12:30-1:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Pierre Church, Cocagne on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 at 2pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
