Omer Goguen 1922 - 2009 Cocagne, NB - Omer Goguen, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 1st, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L.- Dumont hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Cocagne on July 14, 1922, he was the son of the late Henri and Alice (Allain) Goguen. He retired in 1984 from the J-Louis-Lévesque Arena at the University of Moncton. Omer is survived by his wife, Catherine (Rina) Goguen; two sisters, Corinne Cardiff (late David) of Easton Maryland, US and Lilianne Robichaud (late Louis) of Shediac, also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph and two sisters, Aline and Dorice. Resting at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church in Cocagne, visitation hours will be on Thursday, March 5th, from 9:30 am to 11 am. Funeral service will be held at St-Pierre-de Cocagne Roman Catholic Church in Cocagne at 11 am. Donations to the Foundation Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont or donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
