Sylvia D. Bourque 1938 - 2009 With heavy hearts, the family of Sylvia Dora Bourque, announce her passing on February 25, 2009 in Peterborough, Ontario, following a courageous battle with heart and lung disease. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Eva (LeBlanc) Bourgeois. Sylvia will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 20 years, Jacques Bourque; her two cherished children: Charles (Beven) Leger of Moncton and David (Dominique) Leger of Ontario; three step-children: Liseanne LaPierre, Christopher (Lyall) Bourque, and Marc (Michelle) Bourque all of Ontario; three wonderful grandchildren: Sarah and Samuel Leger of Moncton, and Marie-Eve Leger of Ontario; two step-grandchildren: Andrew and Sarah Christine Bourque all of Ontario; her loving brother and sister, Joseph (Stella) Bourgeois of Moncton and Jacqueline (Larry) Faudel of Montreal. She is predeceased by a husband, Charles H. Leger (1983); two sisters: Lorraine Belliveau and Dorina LeBlanc. Sylvia retired from Dr. Bell's optometry office in 1983. With Jacques, Sylvia discovered her passion for golf. She loved to play cards with her many friends and she will be forever remembered for her fabulous pies and donuts. Above all else, she was dedicated to her family and friends. We will miss her dearly. Visitation at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton, on Thursday, March 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St-Louis-de-France Roman Catholic Church (Lewisville) Friday, March 13 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception. Internment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
