Emery Savoie 1932 - 2009 Peacefully with family by his side, Emery Savoie, 77, of Moncton, NB, lost his long battle with cancer on Saturday, March 14th 2009. Born on March 14, 1932 in Saint-Maurice de Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Dosithé and the late Hélène (née: Poirier) Savoie. Mr. Savoie had retired from the Moncton Hospital with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus, Council # 1310. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Viola (née: Cormier); two daughters: Charline (Danny) Roy of Grande-Digue and Denise Savoie (Darren Law) of Innisfail, AB; five grandchildren: Luc, Justin, Jolyne, Sterling and Colton; one sister, Andréa (Maurice) Daigle of Moncton; two brothers: Léandre (Marie) Savoie of Shediac and Hector (Gloria) Savoie of Moncton as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Daniel; three sisters: Dorilda, Rosanna and Emma and also by four brothers: Gérard, Alvin, Lionel and Ovila. Respecting Emery's wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Saturday, March 21st 2009 at 10 am. Reception to follow.
