Laura Cormier 1927 - 2009 REXTON, NB - Laura Cormier 81, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Friday, March 20th, 2009. Born in Claire-Fontaine she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Sarah (Hebert) Daigle. Laura was a member of the Rexton Golden Age Club. Laura will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Alida Fagan (John) of Richibouctou-Village and Corinne Arsenault (Dean) of Edmonton, Alberta; five sons, Antoine Cormier (Lisa Blanchard) of Rexton, Daniel Cormier (Jeannita) of Rexton, Odilon Cormier (Maria Martin) of Richibouctou-Village, Eric Cormier of Bouctouche, Rhéal Cormier (Lori) of Edmonton, Alberta; 10 grand children; eight great grand children; one sister, Hélène Bansfield (late Stanley) of Oshawa, Ontario; three brothers, Vincent Daigle (Jeanette) of St. Louis de Kent, William Daigle (Ann) of Rexton, Thomas Daigle (Linda) of Kouchibouguac; several nieces and nephews; very special friend Marian Crossfield and also leaves behind Lorena and Lucille Cormier. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph Cormier; daughter, Hélène Cormier; and one brother, Pierre Daigle. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Tuesday at 5:00 pm until departure for funeral. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Interment will be in the spring. If so desired, donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
