J. A. Gerard "Gerry" Bourgeois 1928 - 2009 Gerry Bourgeois, 80, of Riverview, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Born in Montreal, PQ, he was the son of the late Laurie and Eva (LeBlanc) Bourgeois. He was employed with CNR John Street Shops and retired after forty years service. Gerry was an avid sportsman, he enjoyed hockey, golfing and was a provincial speed skating champion. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Betty Bourgeois, his children Darlene (Armand) Leger of Colpitts Settlement, Darren Michael (Natalie) Bourgeois of Saint Antoine, Nancy, Kathy and Laurie Bourgeois all of Moncton; grandchildren Alexander and Shaiah, Melody and Matthew, Willie, Trevor and Rebecca; by great grandchildren; one sister Rev. Sr. Noella Bourgeois of British Columbia, three brothers Ola (June) Bourgeois and Norman (Bonnie) Bourgeois all of Moncton and Roderick (Lynn) Bourgeois of Rogersville; as well as nieces and nephews. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
