John Douglas Cullen
John Douglas Cullen John Douglas Cullen, 65, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at the Moncton City Hospital following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on July 28, 1943, he was the son of the late Donald Cullen and the late Elisabeth Cullen (Prichard). Doug had a true passion for the transportation industry in which he spent most of his working career. He was a devoted member of the Trinity United Church and received great joy from singing in their choir. He will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of his two daughters Cheryl Cullen (Aubrey Webb) in Calgary and Laurie MacNaughton (Brian MacNaughton) in Lower Coverdale, one grandson Brennan Webb, and his former wife Joan Spencer in Riverview. He is also survived by his five siblings, Brian (Eleanor) in Montreal, twins Nick (Marlene) in Kitchener and Nancy(Dick Wilson) in Calgary, Ron (Wendy) in Victoria and Ross in Strathmore, near Calgary, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Saturday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Trinity United Church, Old Coach Road, Riverview on Sunday April 19, 2009 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. There will be a reception to follow at the church. In Doug's memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
