Charles Niles
Charles Niles 1915- 2009 Charles Niles, 93, formerly of Bas Cap-Pelé passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a lengthy illness. Born July 11, 1915 in Bas Cap- Pelé, he was the son of the late Willie and Emma (Thibodeau) Niles. Mr. Niles was a fisherman and a custodian at l'Université de Moncton prior to his retirement. He loved golfing and bowling. He was a past member of the Club d'âge d'or in Cap-Pelé. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Claudette Léger (Marcel) of Bas Cap-Pelé and son Lester (Monique) of Grande-Digue; three sisters, Eva Monk of Calgary, AB, Marguerite Brine (Edward) of Cap- Pelé, Olive Landry (Dismas) of Shediac; two brothers: Gérard (Louisa) and David (Lina) both of Cap-Pelé; four grandchildren, Céline, Véronique, Jérémie and Nicolas and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Hermance (Doiron) Niles, one sister Edmée and one brother Arthur Niles. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure 10:50 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to le Comité de Centre Aide, 2648 Acadie Rd., Unit 2, Cap-Pelé, N. B. E4N 1E4 would be appreciated.
