Giuseppe "Joe" Catalli 1921 - 2009 Giuseppe "Joe" Catalli, age 87, of Moncton, passed away at the Dr. Georges-Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, April 27th, 2009, surrounded by his family members. Born December 13th, 1921 in Elce, Italy, he was the son of the late Franco and Angela (DiDomenicantonio) Catalli. He was known as having been a barber at the Family Barbershop and later at the Capitol Barbershop, a business that he and brother Ercole helped establish. For many past years Joe had been a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Italian Association of Moncton. He enjoyed gardening and making his own wine. He will be sadly missed by his four loving children: Franco (Paulette), Angelina, Rita Basque (Gerry) all of Moncton, Loredana Sonier (Ross) of Fredericton; nine grandchildren: Gino, Adriana, Angela, Jamie, Alexandra, Matthew, Christine, Joey, and Marc; three great-grandchildren: Grace, Kyle, and Alex; many nephews and nieces. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Giuseppa "Josephine" Tittarelli, three sisters: Ersilia, Anna and Emilia; brother Ercole; two infant sons: Tito and Remo. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Moncton, on Saturday, May 2nd at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. Visiting hours Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Saturday, from 10 am until departure (10:50).
