Romuald Jacob 1937 - 2009 Romuald Jacob, 71, of Petit Cap passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born August 15, 1937 in Petit-Cap, he was the son of Clara Melanson and the late Philippe Jacob. Mr. Jacob was a fisherman for 55 years and a member of the Cap-Pelé Club d'âge d'or. Besides his mother of Petit-Cap, he will also be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 44 years, Laura (Brun) and their children: Brian at home and Robert (Lisette) of Cap-Pelé; six sisters: Georgette Landry of Amherst, N. S., Gisèle Doiron (Edmond) of Grand-Barachois, Patsy McFarlane and Linda Jacob both of Toronto, ON, Delcia Gaudet (Claude) of Bas Cap-Pelé, Shirley Vienneau (Laurie) of Saint-André; five brothers: Ovila of Bas Cap-Pelé, Philip Jr. ''Joe'' (Jackie), Normand and Gary (Pauline) all of Petit-Cap, and Guy of Halifax, N.S. He was godfather to Judy Cormier, Carole Arsenault and Danny Jacob. Besides his father Philippe, he is also predeceased by a sister Gilberte. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. No visitation prior to the funeral mass. Funeral mass will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009 at Sainte-Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Timothée Cemetery Fund, Shemogue or to the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
