Date de naissance : 21 juillet 1951
Date de décès : 25 novembre 2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liz on Nov. 25, 2008, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Port Morien, Cape Breton on July 21, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Rankin) and John MacLeod. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 27 years, Paul and beautiful daughters, Alison and Sarah, both of Lake Echo. She is also survived by her only brother, Donald (Virginia), Grafton, Ont.; brothers-in-law, Michael (Barb), Edmonton, Stephen, Musquodoboit Harbour; several nieces and nephews; and her little dog, Maggie. She was employed by the province of Nova Scotia in various capacities for 25 years. She was a past member of the Lionness Association for many years, a past member and secretary of the Preston, PC Association, former Sunday school teacher at St. David's United Church, Lake Echo, and a former member of the Bell Park School PTA. She was a great lover of camping, gardening and crafting. She also enjoyed spending time with family and many friends. Liz will always be remembered for her kind heart and her many quips and quotes that brought laughter to all that knew her. As sick as she was, she never lost her sense of humour nor her ability to bring on laughter. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at 11 a.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Cheryl MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow the service.
