Eric Cormier 1920 - 2009 Eric Cormier, 89, of Reine de la Paix Nursing Home and formerly of Fox Creek passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009. Born in Notre Dame, NB on May 1st, 1920 son of the late Albert and Elise (Melanson) Cormier. Eric was a Veteran of the Second World War. He will be sadly missed by three sisters, Lorraine LeBlanc, Anita (Edgar) LeBlanc both of Dieppe, and Bernice (Bob) Messier of Florida, four brothers Gerry, Zoël (Gisèle), Eloi and Emery all of Connecticut as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Eric was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (LeBlanc) Cormier and their two infant children, Tilmon and Doreen and three brothers Neri, August and Aquila. A Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Anselme Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 8th, 2009 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Church Hall. Interment in Our lady of Calvary Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eric's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
