Oscar Despres 1939 - 2009 Oscar Despres, 69 of Despres-Village, has passed away suddenly at home on Monday June 8th, 2009. Born in Cocagne on August 31st, 1939, he was the son of the late Alfred and the late Marie-Rose (Léger) Despres. He leaves to mourn him, his two sons, Charles (Wanda Murphy) of Miramichi, and Aubrey (Joanne Hébert) of Cocagne, and their mother, Jeannette Gaudet of Bouctouche. He also leaves to mourn his four sisters, Yvonne Hébert of Grande-Digue, Alfreda Léger of Despres-Village, Bernice LeBlanc of Saint-Antoine, Rosemonde Dionne (Clarence) of Saint-Grégoire, three brothers, Yvon (Lucie), Alyre (Marguerite) both of Despres-Village, and Normand (Dorine) of Moncton, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister in infancy. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Wednesday June 10th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 11th, 2009 at 4:00 pm at the Saint-Pierre Church, Cocagne. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Oscar's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges-L- Dumont Foundation or to the family.
