Carl E. Forsythe

Carl E. Forsythe 1920 - 2009 Carl E. Forsythe, 88, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 12, 2009. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late John and Laura (Steeves) Forsythe. Carl was the retired manager of SMT Terminal, Moncton, with over 44 years service and attended St. James Anglican Church. He was a veteran of the Second World War, served overseas with the Canadian Army Tank Division (1940-1943). He enjoyed bowling, traveling, time at their cottage (Bellisle) and spending quality time with his family. Carl will be sadly missed by his sister, Verna Steeves (Gerald), Moncton; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Alene (Alexander) Forsythe (March 2008); sisters, Evelyn and Doris; brothers Aubrey, Harold and Murdock. Visitation, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, (858-1995), Tuesday, 2pm to 4pm, 7pm to 9pm. Moncton Legion #6, Veteran's Service 4pm, Tuesday. Funeral service Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, June 17, 2009, 11:00am, Rev. Don Hamilton officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Center following the service.
