Marion Elsie Robins

Marion Elsie Robins 1915 - 2009 Marion Elsie Robins, age 93 year of Moncton, passed away at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Sunday, June 14th, 2009. Born in Boston, Mass on November 21st, 1915; she was the daughter of the late Silas and Gertrude (Donahue) Lean. When she was three years old her family moved back to Lewisville, and that is where she grew up and raised her own family. Marion was a life long member of the Lewisville Baptist Church and was a graduate of Aberdeen High School; spending much of her time reading and always learning new things. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Society, and the Seniors Skating Group. She enjoyed her outings with the T.O.P.S girls every week, and spent many countless years at the cottage in Pointe Du Chene, where she met the love of her life and husband of 65 years when she was only 16 years old. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Frame (Howard) of Truro, NS; sons William "Bill" Robins (Theresa) of Peterborough, ON and Robert "Bob" Robins (Diane Fenton) of Moncton; sisters in law Ruth Lean of Moncton and Katherine Robins of Halifax; grandchildren Matthew and Jennifer Frame, Christopher Robins (Suzanne), Michael, Aaron, and Jason Robins (their mother Barbara Robins); great grandchildren Steven and Kelley Robins; also by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband William "Bill" Robins in 2000; infant daughter Barbara Jean; and brother Silas Lean Jr. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home Friday, June 19th, 2009 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Lewisville Baptist Church on Saturday, June 20th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Rev. Gordon MacLeod officiating. Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to the Lewisville Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
