MACDONALD, FLORENCE - Florence Elizabeth MacDonald, 90, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Salisbury passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Florence was a daughter of the late Donnley and Catherine (Betts) Woods. She was a homemaker, a member of Salisbury United Church and a life member of U.C.W. Florence was an avid quilter with the church group. She was also a member of the Monday Morning Merry Makers and the Salisbury Golden Age Club. She is survived by her daughters, Grace Kitchen (Harold) of Beddeck, NS, Edith White (James) of Salisbury; son Leslie (Joyce) of Salisbury; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews; dear friends, sister-in-law Doreen MacDonald and Cathy Johnson of Calgary. Predeceased by husband Rainsford; daughter Jeanne Elizabeth; sisters Lillian Roberts and Marie McCarey of Florida; granddaughter Marilyn White and grandson Jeffri Bouchard. Many thanks to the Spencer Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to our mother with special mention for Donna Mason. Extra special thanks to Dr. Phelan and Palliative Care Nursing Staff at Moncton City Hospital. A private family burial will be held at the Pine Hill Cemetery officiated by Rev. Dan Compton.
