AGNEW, MARGARET A. - Margaret A. Agnew, 91, of Lakeview Manor, Riverview and formerly of People's Park Tower, Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, June 28, 2009. Born in Smiths Corner, she was the daughter of the late William and Hattie (Carter) Carter. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and was a member of The Moncton Wesleyan Church. She was a member of the "Golden Years Fellowship" at The Moncton Wesleyan Church and the "Young at Heart Group" at Highfield Baptist Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music and spending time with her family. Margaret will be sadly missed by her children, Charles (Ann), Harcourt, Elaine MacLeod (Bud), Moncton, Gloria Wellwood (Carl), Lutes Mountain and David (Isabel), Berry Mills; grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, Jamie, Kevin, Michael, Todd, Janice, Joanna; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Lillian McMaster and Caroline Cameron, both of Moncton, Kathleen Brethour (Eldon), Toronto, ON; sister-in-law, Mary Carter, London, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her granddaughter Janet (1973); brothers, Merle, Mel, Bob, Charles. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, July 2, 2009, 11:00 am, Rev. Cecil Symes, Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
