ARNOLD ERNEST COOK

COOK, ARNOLD ERNEST - Arnold Ernest Cook of Riverview passed away unexpectedly at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday June 30th, 2009 at the age of 85. Born in Mount View, NB, January 27th, 1924 he was the son of the late Ernest and Stella (DeLong) Cook. Arnold was a Veteran of WWII, having served overseas with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Italy and during the liberation of Holland. He was not just a carpenter by trade but a self employed contractor, having built several homes in the Moncton area. He is survived by his loving wife Helen (Furlong); three daughters, Shirley Caissie (Jean Claude) of Rothesay, Sandra Cook of Moncton and Angela Cook-Berthelot (Gilles) of Riverview; a son Phillip of Riverview; a brother Cedric (Geraldine) of Amherst; grandchildren Matthieu, Luc and Suzanne, step grandchildren, Sarah and Courtney Berthelot; great grandchildren Alexys, Dominic, Cameron and Nadia Caissie as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by four sisters, Edith, Daisy, Doris and Mae; three brothers, Harry, Frank and Leon. The family will be receiving friends and visitors at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 3rd at 3:00 PM from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. L. Buckingham officiating. The internment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery.
