BISHOP, DONALD "DON" R. - Donald "Don" R. Bishop, 93, of Riverview, with members of his family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009. Born in Newton Heights, he was the son of the late James and Laura (James) Bishop. He was a retired CNR Locomotive Engineer, with 35 years service, a member of Highfield Baptist Church, the "Young at Heart" seniors group; Brotherhood Sunday School Class and former Teller Board Member. Don enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing crib, walking, curling (MCA) and spending time with his family. Don will be sadly missed by his daughters, Nancy MacAulay (Peter), Upper Tantallon, NS, Donna Quinn (George), Riverview; sons, David (Joan), Inverness, Florida, Donald (Lois), Hudson, Florida, John (Alice), Berry Mills; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Berry, Stella Thompson, both of Moncton, Audrey Leaman (Walter), Riverview; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Thompson) Bishop (1983); brothers, Jimmy and Lorne. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, July 6th, 2009, 1:30 pm, Rev.
