CLARE, ANITA ALBERTA "NETTIE" (1913-2009) - The death of Anita Alberta "Nettie" Clare, 96, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Lily (Purdy) Waye. Nettie and her late husband Raleigh had operated a well known photography studio on Squire Street in Sackville. She was a talented retoucher and baby photographer. A kind woman, she made great fudge and everyone was welcome at her table. Nettie will be sadly missed by her daughter Aileen (Fred) Woolridge, Cornerbrook, NL; two grandchildren, Alison and Nicholas and two great grandchildren, Aaron and Theo. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of sixy-five years, Raleigh, and by two brothers Warren and Bert. Respecting Nettie's wishes there will be no visitation or memorial service. A private family committal will be held at a later date. Services are under the dignified care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300).
