ARSENAULT, IRENE MARGARET - The death of Mrs. Irene Margaret Arsenault, widow of Charles Arsenault of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 91. Born in Petit Rocher, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Beatrice (Boudreau) Godin. Irene was an active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, past member of St. Mary's Bereavement Ministry, member of the Catholic Women's League, past member of the Newcastle Curling Club and Miramichi Golf and Country Club. She was a retired Secretary Assistant to the Late Maurice Dionne, former Member of Parliament. Irene is survived by: two sons, Paul (Norma) of Cassoday, Kansas; Peter (Edna) of Moncton, NB; three sisters, Jeanette Lefontaine of Largo, Florida; Yolande Robichaud of Bathurst, NB; Adeline Godin of Montreal, PQ; four grandchildren: Angela, Paul, Jereme and Carlin; one great grandchild, Ariel. Besides her husband and parents, Irene is predeceased by: one son: Charles and two brothers and two sisters. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 13, 2009 from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at 11 AM with Father Stanlais Paulin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. In Irene's memory, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
