CLAUDE LEGRESLEY
LEGRESLEY, CLAUDE - 1932-2009 - At the Moncton Hospital July 7th, 2009 aged 77 years Claude LeGresley of Moncton. Born at Fair Isle (Neguac), NB March 27th 1932, he was the son of the late Michel and Françoise (Beaulieu) LeGresley. Claude is survived by his wife Marguerite (Comeau), his daughter Lynn of Moncton, his son André (Carla Ross) of Fredericton and his granddaughters Mia and Sophie whom he adored; his brothers Louis (Victoria Vautour) and Joseph (Auréa Vautour) all of Ontario, Yvon (Tuny Savoy) and Élie all of Tracadie-Sheila, his sisters Marie-Anna (the late Lucien LeBlanc) of Québec, Géraldine (Guy Basque) of Bathurst and Victoria (George MacDonald) of Barryville. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Claude had a varied career. He was employed with the Workmen's Compensation Board in Saint John NB, he enlisted in the Air Force where he trained as Technician, he was employed with the Federal Department of Transportation in Newfoundland and on the Magdalen Islands, QC where he was in charge of a crew maintaining a radio navigation beacon. He finished his working career at the Provincial Translation Bureau where he did simultaneous translation. Claude loved music and singing. His lovely voice will be missed. Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother Zoël (Salve) and two other brothers in infancy. There will be no visitation. A funeral service followed by a reception for family and friends will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, on Saturday, July 11th at 11 AM.
