MURTY, MARK - Irishtown, NB - Mark Murty, 29, of Irishtown and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (July 9th, 2009) at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Mike and Charline (Roy) Murty. He was the New Brunswick District Sales Manager for Kimpex. He will sadly missed by his wife Jennifer (Couture) Murty and his parents of Bathurst; one daughter, Kayla Grace at home; one sister, Sandra Murty (Ronnie Gallant) of Moncton; one brother, Jason of Moncton; paternal grandmother, May (Sisk) Murty of Black Rock; maternal grandparents, Charles and Gérarda (Lanteigne) Roy of Beresford; in-laws, Johnny and Marie (White) Couture of Bathurst; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, niece, nephew and friends; godparents; Benoit Roy and Ann Godin. He was godfather to Nicholas Frenette. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather, Herman Murty. The body will rest after 2 pm Saturday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 2pm from Eglise Notre Dame du Rosaire, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from noon until time of Funeral. (www.elhatton.com)
