GIROUARD, EDMEE M - age 95, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin on Monday, July 13, 2009. Born in Cap Pele, NB, she was a daughter of the late Jaduse and Edith (Donelle) Babineau. Edmee worked for 10 years at Sackville Laundry and 8 years for Mount Allison University. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Sackville. She will be sadly missed by her sons Fred, Leominster, Mass, Laurie (Louise) Fitchburg, Mass; daughter Dorette (Raymond) Briggs, Sackville; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother Edwin Babineau, Cap Pele, NB; sister Stephanie Bourque, Sackville, NB, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Acquilla; son Ivan, brother Amedee, Philias, Damien and Arthur; sisters, Clarice Nima, Loretta Duguay, Delia Gautreau, Edna Melanson, Alma Landry and Premila Goguen. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11 am, Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
