ROMEO CORMIER

CORMIER, ROMEO - 1929 - 2009 - Roméo Cormier, 80, of Shediac, NB, formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Monday, July 13th, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Scoudouc, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and the late Natalie (née:Daigle) Cormier. Prior to retirement, Mr. Cormier worked for the Town of Dieppe Fire Department, he was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus, Dieppe Council # 6796, a member of the Dieppe Firefighters Association, the Shediac Club d'Age d'Or and a parishioner of Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac, NB. He is survived by his wife, Alice (née: Bourque); one daughter, Ginette (Joe) LeBlanc of Shediac; two sons: Daniel of Trenton, ON and Maurice (Anne-Marie) of Shediac River; one sister, Alma Quinn of Daytona, FL; nine grandchildren: Daniel, Angela, Michael, Patrice, Christine, Janice, Marc, Justin and Mathieu; five great grandchildren: Derek, Jake, Brett, Emma, Eve-Marie as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters: Florence, Dora, Edmée, Rita and Yvonne and also by three brothers: Emery, Albert and Léo. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901), on Friday, July 17th, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac, NB on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 at 11 am.
