CHURCHILL, WINSTON S. - 1939-2009 Miramichi - Winston Stephen Churchill, husband of the late Marilyn Churchill, of Hay Lane, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday evening, July 18, 2009, at the age of 69. Born in St. John's Newfoundland, on September 21, 1939, he was the son of the late George and Myrtle (Blackmore) Churchill. He was an iron worker by profession and a member of Local 842; a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion, Miramichi; a member of the Board of the Chatham Station Wharf Marina; a former member of Miramichi Chapter # 18, F&AM. Winston was a avid outdoorsman, and truly enjoyed nature, the water and the woods. He is survived by two sons, Winston James Churchill (Catherine), of Windsor, CT., USA and William Dean Churchill (Shim Yun Soon "Jade"), of Soeul, South Korea; two half sisters, Jane Churchill (Tony) and Joan Churchill, all of Picton, Ont.; two grandchildren, Tommy and Clarke Churchill. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marilyn Hay, in 2005. Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday only, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Riverside Cemetery Fund or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
