MATHESON, DEBORAH JOY (LIFSCHES) - The death of Deborah Joy (Lifsches) Matheson, wife of Paul Matheson of King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, occurred on Friday, July 31st, 2009 at her late residence at the age of 56. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Mary "Mae" (Potter) Lifsches. Debbie was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle, a hairstylist at Glamour and member of the Newcastle Lioness. Besides her husband Paul, Debbie is survived by one sister, Pam Miller (Rick) of Miramichi, NB; two brothers, Michael (Maureen) of East Penant, NS and Paul (Catherine) of Montreal, PQ; brother in laws Barry (Georgie) and Roy (Bunnie), both of Miramichi, NB, Fred (Jeanette) of Barrie, ON, Bev (Jane) of Williamstown, NB, Ronnie (Edna) of Saskatoon, MB; sister in laws, Vivian Lanphier (Ken) Courtney, BC, Marion White of Dartmouth, NS, Elizabeth Wells of Hawaii, Frances Robertson of Adolphus, Kentucky, Nonnie Goulet (Romeo) of Trenton, ON, Marguerite Somerville of Dartmouth, NS, Paula Dube (Bob) of Wesphal, NS, Ann Breau (Bernard) of Parker Road, NB, Mary Matheson of Miramichi, NB; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Monday, August 3rd, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 7 PM from Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will take place at Miramichi Cemetery.
