MARSHALL E. TRITES

TRITES, MARSHALL E. - Marshall E. Trites, 87, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of the Gorge Road, Moncton, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Born in Lutes Mountain, he was the son of the late Whitfield and Corena (Briggs) Trites. Marshall was a retired cabinet maker for Lockhart Woodworkers Company Ltd. with 20 years service. A member of Stilesville United Church and former Church Elder. Member of the L.O.L. #62 Orange Lodge, member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch #6 and veteran of the Second World War, serving with the RCAF. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing, traveling, spending time with Phyllis and family at their cottage (Targetville); however, first and foremost was spending quality time with family and friends. Marshall will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 62 years, Phyllis (Renton) Trites; daughters, Marsha Wilson (Wayne), Ammon, Patricia Sweet (Baxter), Lutes Mountain; sons, Michael (Sandra), Indian Mountain, Bevan, Moncton, Jeff (Karen), Ammon; 15 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sisters, Irene Trites, Stilesville, Arletta Edgar (Eldon), Moncton; sisters-in-law, Neta Trites, Betty Trites, both of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Neil and Curtis. In Honoring Marshall's wishes, no visitation. Funeral service Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 1:30 pm. Rev. Winston Parks officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Center following the service. Interment, Stilesville Cemetery. In Marshall's memory, donations to Stilesville Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
