Donna Cormier (Frechette)

48, Dominion It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness the we, the family, must announce the passing of Donna Pauline Cormier after a long battle with cancer. Born in Sydney, N.S., she was the daughter of Mel (stepmom Sharon Downey) and the late Annie May (Campbell) Cormier. Besides her mom, Donna was predeceased by her grandparents, Tom and Esther Cormier and Donald John and Christine Campbell. Donna is survived by ex-husband, Michel Frechette; sons, Stephen (Kellie Shaver) and Kevin, two cherished daughters, Christina and Sabrina, all in St. Catharines, Ont.; siblings, John, Edmonton, Tom (Nancy Sinclair), Sarnia, Ont., Ian McLeod (Barb), Scott Andrews (Trudy), Halifax, Tena Cormier, Calgary, and Kim Cormier, Dominion. Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Donna will be sadly missed by her best friend, Mary Sparrow, Dominion. Donna's compassion and kindness was known to everyone who had the privilege to meet her. She loved her time as a sailor and cook with Upper Lakes Shipping, family get-togethers and barbecues. But her greatest pride was reserved for her children. She adored them with all of her heart. Donna's Poem: This life for me has hastily passed I have loved you all, till the very last. Weep not for me, but courage take Love each other, for my sake.
