83, North Sydney It is with great sadness the family announce the death of their beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Elizabeth Robinson, age 83, a resident of the Northside Guest Home and formerly of Margaret Street, North Sydney. Elizabeth passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at the guest home. Elizabeth was the daughter of the late John D. and Mary Ann (McCarthy) MacCormick. She was a member of St. Matthew Wesley United Church, North Sydney. She is survived by her three daughters, Shirley (Gerald) Crewe, Sydney Mines, Betty (Greg) MacDonald, Reserve, and Tammy Lynn Robinson, Sydney; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John T. Robinson, two brothers, Raymond and Francis MacCormick. Visitation for Elizabeth will take place Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday at St. Matthew Wesley United Church, North Sydney, with Rev. David Luker officiating.
