
FRANCES D. KIRKPATRICK
KIRKPATRICK, FRANCES D. - 1925 - 2009 - Frances Dices Kirkpatrick, wife of the late David V. Kirkpatrick of Riverview, passed away on Friday, August 14th 2009, at The Moncton Hospital. She was born in Fredericton, daughter of the late William and Lillian (Kitchen) Fox of Gagetown, NB. Frances graduated from the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1947, and was a well known and respected private duty nurse in Moncton for many years, as well as an active member of the Retired Nurses Association. Residing for many years in Gunningsville, Frances was involved in starting a Girl Guide Troop in the community. She was one of the founding members of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Moncton, and was active in the choir and visitation program. Happy retirees David and Frances enjoyed many years with friends and relatives at their cottage in Pugwash. Frances was a loving, giving mother, aunt and neighbour who spent her life caring for others. She is survived by her daughter, Linda VandenBerg (Donald) Knoxville, TN; granddaughter Stephanie; son Ian (Cindy) of Barrie, ON; and grandchildren Mitchell, Allison, and Quinn. Frances is also survived by a brother George William Fox, Moncton and sisters Helen Ann MacDonald of Riverview, Vera Baird of Fredericton, as well as cousin Louise Black (Roland) of Rothesay, sisters-in-law Nancy Kirkpatrick and Beryl Kirkpatrick both of Rothesay as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Fair Haven Funeral Home from 10-11 am, on Thursday, August 20th. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception room. Interment in Upper Hampstead Cemetery, Gagetown, NB. Donations in memory of Frances may be made to the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Box 171, Pugwash, NS, BOK 1LO.
