DONALD B. HERMAN
HERMAN, DONALD B. - Donald B. Herman, 82, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, August 22, 2009. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clifford and Laurena (Berry) Herman. Don was a former employee of the CNR and was of the Baptist faith. He was a Veteran of WWII, served with the Military Police in the Canadian Army and was a former member of Moncton Legion Branch #6. Don enjoyed playing guitar, singing, crib, gardening, spending time with his dog, Nikki and quiet time at home with his family. Donald will be sadly missed by his children, Darlene Wilson (Wade) and granddaughter Taylor with whom he resided, Darryl Herman (Mary), Kenny Douthwright (Lynn), Carolyn Steeves (late Mac), Helen Lea (Paul), Margie LeBlanc (George); several grandchildren, great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Baston; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Beulah (2007); daughter, Sharon; son, Brian; grandson, Chris; sisters and brothers, Helen, Kaye, Gerry and Tex. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, (858-1995), Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Moncton Legion Branch #6 Veterans Service, 4pm Tuesday. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, August 26, 2009, 1:30 pm, Rev. Rick Thomas officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
