ADAM "SKIP" STEWART
STEWART, ADAM "SKIP" - The death of Adam "Skip" Stewart of Ferry Road, NB, husband of Jackie (Russell) Stewart occurred at his late residence on Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 at the age of 63. Born in Montreal, PQ, Skip was the son of the late Patrick Grattan and Myrtle Gertrude (Blake) Stewart. After 37 years as a steam fitter and pipe fitter with UPM Kymmene Skip retired in 2001. Skip was an avid four-wheeler, hunter and enjoyed his camp. He was also a member of the former CEP Local 689 and Newcastle Curling Club. Besides his wife Jackie, Skip is survived by: three daughters, Kerri Lynn King (Lindsay), Kim Stewart Mah (Eugene) and Pam Tweedie (Ben); one son, Christopher (Stephanie) all of Ferry Road, NB; three brothers, Patrick (Sheila) of Edmonton, AB, Robert (Jill) of Bay du Vin, NB and Richard (Neenie) of Ferry Road, NB; mother in law, Helen "Jean" Russell of Miramichi; two brother-in-laws, Kevin Russell (Doris) of Lower Newcastle, NB and David White (Diane) of England; nine grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hannah and Ethan King, Jadyn and Erica Mah, Jake, Cole and Drew Tweedie and Adam Stewart and several nieces and nephews. At Skip's request there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held from St. Samuel's Roman Catholic Church, Douglastown on Friday at 10 am. Burial will take place in the Moorefield Cemetery. In Skip's memory a donation may be made to the NB Extra Mural Program, Moorefield Cemetery Fund or a memorial of one's choice.
