HYSLOP, VERNON WILMOT - 1918 - 2009 - Vernon Wilmot Hyslop passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009. Born in Saint John, son of the late Henry and Jennie (Love) Hyslop. Vernon will be sadly missed by his wife of 71 years, Minnie; two sons, Allan (Faye) of Moncton, Gerald (Mary) of Ontario; three daughters, Joan Young of Nova Scotia, Phyllis (Larry) Belfry of Ontario and Verla (Barry) George of Upper Coverdale. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Vernon was predeceased by his daughter, Verna Geldart, infant grandson, Barry George, seven brothers and two sisters. A memorial service will be held at Highfield Baptist Church on Sunday, September 6th at 3:00 pm. Interment will be held in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Vernon's memory may be made to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital "Palliative Care" or the charity of the donor's choice.
