71, Ingonish/Sydney Patrick Maurice Donovan, 71, a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, formerly of Ingonish, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Ingonish, he was a son of the late Maurice and Emma Jane (Donovan) Donovan. In 1977, Patrick retired from Parks Canada, Ingonish. Surviving are his daughters Jane (John Stevenson), Edmonton, Agnes (Greg) Porter, Calgary, and Brenda (Allan) MacLellan, Sydney; sons, Blair (Barbara), Lower Sackville, Larry, Calgary, Wayne, Sydney, and Bernard (Jackie), Bedford; sisters, Charlotte Gillis, Sydney River, Vivian Latwaitis, Sydney Mines, Frances (Collin) Gillis, Sydney, and Ann Marie (Ross) Kaiser, Kathleen (John) Robicheau and Eleanor Richardson, Halifax; brothers, Art and Philip, Ingonish, and John Kyte, Dartmouth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patrick was predeceased by sister, Edna and brothers, Maurice and Wilfred. There will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at a later date.
