WILLIAMS, JOSEPH A. - The death of Joseph (Joe) Willams of 14 Park Dr., Miramichi, NB occurred at the Regional 7 Hospital on Sunday September 13th, 2009 at the age of 93. Born in Douglastown, NB on Nov 28th, 1915, he was the son of the late Lawrence Williams and Helen Legere. Joe owned and operated his own monument business. In later years he was employed with the Dept of National Defence at the former CFB Chatham as a plumber. He was an honorary life member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus. Joe is survived by his wife, Carmel of 60 years; son, Larry; daughters, Colleen (Doug) Dolan, Betty Ann (Bobby) Bransfield; brother, John (Joan) of Miramichi, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Frances, Gertrude and Margaret. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Krista (Randy) MacLean, Joey (Tracy) Bransfield, Matthew Dolan; and great-grandson, Samuel MacLean who bought great joy to him. Joe Williams is resting at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi, NB on Tuesday, September 15th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 16th at 11am from St Michael's Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in St Michael's Cemetery.
