DICKSON, GERTRUDE D. - 1947-2009 - Napan, N.B. - Gertrude Dorothy Dickson, wife of Joseph B. Dickson, of the South Napan Road, Napan, passed away, surrounded by her family, at her residence, early Thursday morning, September 17, 2009, at the age of 62. Born in Bay du Vin, on March 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Dorothy (Williams) Chapman. She was a homemaker and a home care worker, by profession. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, and attended St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi, more recently. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Druscilla Dickson (Brian), of Miramichi and Rhoda Heighton (Chris), of Beisker, AB; four sons, Kelvin (Tina), of Moncton, Clifford (Kelly), of Upper Napan, David (Manon), of Legaceville, Steven (Kim), of Glenwood, Shawn (Jennifer), of Miramichi; five sisters, Nora Dickson, Jessie Dickson (Earl), Debbie Jardine (Perley), all of Napan, Connie Boone (Jerry), of Woodstock, Donna Chaission (Fred), of Miramichi; five brothers, Claude Chapman (Beth), of Miramichi, Stafford Chapman (Judy), of Fredericton, Jim Chapman (Patricia), of Miramichi, Ralph Chapman, of Miramichi, Kenneth Chapman, of Miramichi; thirteen grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; one sister; three brothers. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi, on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Gordon Thompson, assisted by Rev. Don Hamilton. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery.
