MARINER (SKIP) ANTHONY PRICE
PRICE, MARINER (SKIP) ANTHONY - It is with profound sadness that the family of Mariner (Skip) Anthony Price, 67, of Fall River, announces his sudden passing on Thursday, September 17th, 2009, at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Moncton, NB, he was a son of the late George and Gladys (Anthony) Price. Skip was a talented research scientist. He had degrees from the University of New Brunswick (B.Sc hon. in Physics) and Dalhousie University (M.Sc in Physics and an M.A. in Mathematics). He had a great love of nature and his passions included mathematics, hiking, canoeing, classical music, weight lifting, and above all else his children. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. In touching many lives Skip leaves emptiness that only love and happy memories can fill. Skip is survived by his daughter, Emily; and his sons, William, Brendan and Emmett; brothers, George Price (Brenda), Michael Price, Dennis Price (Kim) and Loyall (Elsie); and his sisters, Joanne Shaban (Charlie) and Bonnie Murray (Jim); as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A reception to share memories of Skip with his extended family and friends was held at the Prince George on Saturday, September 19th. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Schizophrenia Society of Nova Scotia.
