McCARTHY, MICHAEL J. - 1959 - 2009 - Michael McCarthy, 49, of Alberta, passed away on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 at University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of Blair McCarthy and Rita (née: Goulette). His legacy will live on through the Hope Foundation as an organ donor. He was a loving family man who was dedicated to his children, and a devoted worker, from a very young age, who enjoyed his many jobs. He was very proud of his newest "toy" his Harley Davidson. Besides his parent, Blair McCarthy of Nelson and Rita Goguen of Chatham Head, he is survived by his wife, Debbie; one daughter, Jessica (Mike) of Chelmsford, ON; two sons, Brandon and Kyle, both at home in Sprucegrove, AB; four sisters, Patty of Grande-Digue, Margaret (Gleason) Gallinger of Boyle, AB, Susan (Bob) Fortier of Sutton, ON and Jennifer (Mark) Kingston of Thunder Bay, ON; one brother, Paul (Diana) of Miramichi and a much loved granddaughter, Claire as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be held from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, (Nelson) Miramichi, NB on Friday, September 25th, 2009 at 11 am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Reception to follow.
