O'BLENIS, HELEN JEAN - 91, of Salisbury passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in St. Anne de Belliveau, PQ, she was a daughter of the late Riley and Kate (Colpitts) Stiles. A homemaker extraordinaire, wherever she lived she created a loving home for her family and friends with her exceptional culinary, sewing and gardening skills, all infused with her wonderful love of life! She was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church and the Salisbury Lioness, enjoyed travelling, hunting and family gatherings and took great pride in her family's accomplishments. Survived by her son, David and his wife, Loreen of Ottawa; her daughter, Beverley Worbets and her husband, Robert of Comox B.C.; grandchildren, Peter O'Blenis (Dr. Susan Whitley) and Daniel O'Blenis (Cindy) of Ottawa, Jason Worbets (Heather) of Seattle, Wa., Jonathan Worbets (Beth) of Kalispell Mo.; great grandchildren, David and Sean O'Blenis, Bennet and Ava Worbets. Survived also by a sister, Marjorie Matthews; brothers, Robert Stiles (Mae), Fred Stiles (Sylvia); Bennet's family, Everett O'Blenis (Dorothy), Lauranna Bleakney and Lillian O'Blenis; several nieces and nephews and her beloved caregiver Val Skeffington. Predeceased by her husband, Bennet (2002); sisters, Bernis Steeves, Mildred Trueman and Lillian Morton; brother, Esmond Stiles. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral will be held Saturday, September 26 at 11 am from the Salisbury Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Atkinson officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall.
