HENRY G. MACWILLIAM

MACWILLIAM, HENRY G. - The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Monday, September 28, 2009, of Henry Gordon MacWilliam of Charlottetown, in his 90th year, husband of the late Margaret (Goodwin) MacWilliam. Born in Salisbury on April 9, 1920, son of the late Gordon and Annie (O'Blenis) MacWilliam. He is sadly missed by daughters, Janice (Kenny) Silver, Dartmouth, and Glenda (John) Szpecht, Calgary; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Silver, Vancouver, Joyce Silver, Ottawa, and Heather, Amanda, Andrew and Colin Szpecht, all of Calgary. He is survived by sister, Phyllis (Lloyd) Dobson, Sackville; and sister-in-law, Lois (Robert) Goodwin Pepper, Halifax; pre-deceased by sister, Eleanor (Winston) Johnston; and special uncle to nieces and nephews and their families. Following service with the 8th Battery, 2nd Field Regiment RCA during WW II, Henry specialized in forced air heating systems design and engineering at Enamel & Heating Products, Ltd., Sackville. He moved to Charlottetown in 1950 and continued in the field for more than 25 years, first with Crockett & Storey Ltd., and then DB & J Ltd. Later, he served as Executive Director of the PEI Lung Association. Resting at the MacLean Funeral Home, Charlottetown, visiting hours are Friday, October 2nd, 2:30 to 5:30 pm; funeral Saturday, October 3rd from MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel at 1 pm. Interment in Sackville Cemetery, Sackville, NB at 10 am, Saturday, October 10th. If so desired, memorials to the PEI Lung Association or Trinity United Church, Charlottetown, would be appreciated.
