STEEVES, RALPH F. - Ralph F. Steeves, 79, of Berry Mills, with family by his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Born in Berry Mills, he was the son of the late Vincent and Ruth (Duffy) Steeves. Ralph was a former co-owner and operator of Mountain Way Supermarket. He was a member of Berry Mills Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger days and still enjoyed a drive through the countryside (especially in the fall). Ralph is survived by his only sister, Annie Sherwood, Moncton; brothers, Walter (Pearl), Saint John, Norman (Ruth), Dartmouth, NS; sisters-in-law, Audrey and Mae Steeves, Berry Mills and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Dewey, Ronald, Harold, Eldon and Donald; sisters-in-law, Helen and Shirley Steeves; brother-in-law, John Sherwood. In keeping with Ralph's wishes, there will be no visitation hours. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road (858-1995), Friday, October 9, 2009, 1:30 pm, Rev. Don MacDougall officiating. Interment, Steeves Mountain Cemetery.
