KEIRSTEAD, WALLACE - 1929-2009 - Wallace Keirstead "Brick" passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Born in Moncton, son of the late Ralph and Jessie (Slocum) Keirstead. Wallace was retired from CNR as an electrician. He was a member of the IBEW, as well as a long time member of the IOOF, Prince Albert Lodge. Enjoyed his summers at the cottage in Pointe-du-Chene with family. He will be sadly missed by two daughters, Janice (Doug) Burke, Lynn (Ben) Kilfoil; three, sons, Peter (Bonny), Bruce (Sharon) and Ralph (Pam); seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Margaret Hudson and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wallace was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (O'Neill) Keirstead; brother, Douglas; sister, Barbara, as well as granddaughter, Diane. Visitation from Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Wallace's memory may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice.
